Inspiring Books

Hello there,

So just a heads up now....theses books are not books that all relate to addiction recovery, actually most of them don't. However, they are inspiring books that have uplifted me.  I hope you have read some already and can find other ones that can also bring joy, serenity and strengthen your testimony/trust in God.

“Experiencing Christ: Coming to Know Your Savior offers hope by illustrating that every affliction and trial of mortality serves a sacred purpose that of turning us to Christ. Each of us will be tutored on a personal level through our unique God-given challenges. It is after we have experienced illness that we comprehend our need for a physician. It is after we have experienced bondage that we understand our need for deliverance. A personal relationship with the Savior guarantees peace, healing, and understanding of things to come. Let this book guide you in coming to know Him through personal experience. There is no other way!”

As three books in one, this "marriage book," "intimacy book" and "parenting book": Shines light and truth on the intimate marital relationship, restoring sex to its proper position as ordained of God. Effectively addresses, with self-help solutions, the emotional, spiritual and physical intimacy issues that plague so many marriages . Provides principles and practices to help parents teach and better prepare their children for intimacy and lasting fulfillment in marriage.

"In this Book, He explores the destructive power of pornogrpahy addiction, not just from a moral and spiritual perspective, but with...modern science". Amazing perspective, lots of great info.

“Maybe it was a grandparent, or a teacher, or a colleague. Someone older, patient and wise, who understood you when you were young and searching, helped you see the world as a more profound place, gave you sound advice to help you make your way through it.

For Mitch Albom, that person was Morrie Schwartz, his college professor from nearly twenty years ago.

Mitch Albom had that second chance. He rediscovered Morrie in the last months of the older man's life. Knowing he was dying, Morrie visited with Mitch in his study every Tuesday, just as they used to back in college. Their rekindled relationship turned into one final “class”: lessons in how to live.”

“Punch fear in the face”.

“The Infinite Atonement is rapidly becoming a classic, as it offers what may be the most comprehensive treatment of the Atonement in our day. With clarity, testimony, and understanding, Tad R. Callister teaches us rich and wonderful truths about this “doctrine of doctrines,” and elevates our spirits as we contemplate the perfect love of Him who gave us all that we might receive all.”

Inspiring personal story. Miracles happen.
